The straggly Auracaria of Covenanter’s Woods

The Story

It’s in the middle of local woods beside an army barracks. The woods were used for trench warfare training in WW1 and WW2. The trench remains are still there. This monkey puzzle is in the middle of thick plantation woodland which is a mix of native and non-native species. It looks to be in poor condition with a lot of dead snags on the lower branches.
