The Eilean Dubh

The Story

Well, this tenacious tree is close to the North Kessock Hotel and the old ferry slip (with the mural). It was grown from seed obtained from the mother tree at Rosslyn House, Strathpeffer and was until recently still in a pot here before getting pride of place in the garden. The North Kessock Hotel is a pleasant place to eat well, as is the White Cottage Tearoom closeby. Stagecoach buses serve the village from Inverness Bus Station.
