Perfectly Placed
A fine specimen in its natural habitat
One of three specimens along this same street (NE Prescott, in Portland Oregon USA), this one's in fine condition, standing in front of a beautiful old Victorian-style house. I can't help thinking that at some point since 1962 when so many monkey puzzle trees were brought to the Pacific Northwest from Chile as saplings for the Seattle World's Fair, this one and the other two must've had many more companions along Prescott. But alas, tree maintenance is expensive, and times change, and there's evidence that a lot of these trees have been removed in the past 20 years. :=(
